Creekside Critter
Care is a family owned and operated business with years of experience
in animal handling and care. Let your pet join our family!
The Creekside Mission
To support quality
of life and well-being for animals and their human companions.
Staff
Maryellen Elcock,
Ann Elcock Ota, and Joe Elcock have taken largely divergent paths in
adulthood, but always shared a common bond of love for animals. The
Elcock family household was always filled with dogs, cats, birds,
turtles, mice, gerbils, rabbits, fish, and just about anything a kid
could bring home. Summers were spent camping, hiking and canoeing in
New Hampshire, gaining an intimate relationship with wildlife
and nature.
During their teen
years, Ann, Joe and Maryellen trained, groomed and showed Irish
Setters throughout New England. All three successfully competed in
Junior Showmanship competitions; Ann being invited to compete at the
Westminster Kennel Club Show.
The three were
brought back together through the illnesses of their parents, where
they re-discovered the therapeutic value of animals, in their lives.
Creekside Critter Care is a venture based on their love and respect
for animals and acknowledgement of the role animals play in the
health and healing of human beings.
In May of 2008,
Ann and Maryellen became certified through Pet
Tech, Inc.© to teach their Pet-Saver(TM) Program, which
includes pet first aid, dental care for pets and caring for your
senior pet. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about this new venture!

Sandy Lassman
has been with us since July of 2007, covering Maple Valley, Kent,
Covington and the Fairwood area. Sandy is trained in pet first-aid
and has already proven to be a great asset to Creekside Critter Care
with her attention to detail, business skills and wonderful
connection with animals. She also keeps our website and events page
updated. Her teenage son, Randall, has also taken the pet first-aid
course and volunteers his time when he's not in school.
Our
newest members have been helping out at our Daycare facility - Megan
Bigelow and Sunny Embery.
Megan is currently
a student at BYU- Idaho studying Animal Science and plans to become a
Veterinarian. She is working part-time during her winter break from BYU.
Sunny is a senior
in High School working part-time after school and hopes to continue
working for Creekside this summer after she graduates.
We are very lucky
to have these bright hard working young women on the Creekside team!
Most importantly all the dogs LOVE Sunny and Megan.
