"If you were ever considering putting your dog into daycare, I would tell you to give Creekside Critter Care a call immediately.

I can say that it was one of the best things I could've ever done for my dog. Cortez is a Border Collie/Rottweiler mix, which means he has a lot of energy and a very busy mind! As an only dog in a household of two cats, it was evident to me right away that his socialization with other dogs was not what it should be. He had gone through obedience, but had very poor manners at off-leash dog parks. He was constantly chasing, herding, and well, pestering other dogs to the point where the dirty looks I got from other owners made me decide I was no longer going to bring him to off leash dog parks anymore, but I still thought it was important for him to be around other dogs. There was also the issue of exercise. I work full time, and was able to walk him at least three times a week, but it was still not enough. So I decided to look into daycare for Cortez and gave Creekside Critter Care a call. They invited my fiance and I over to evaluate Cortez to see if he would do well with other dogs, and to talk with us.

Maryellen is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to animal behavior, and has helped us in many ways by reporting to us things she sees in his behavior, and working with Cortez on behaviors that need to be corrected so that he plays with the other dogs in the group in a manner which is acceptable. As a former groomer and veterinary assistant, I am very involved with my pets and consider them members of my family. Their welfare is extremely important to me, and I strive to provide a loving, nurturing environment. I just want my pets to be happy! Daycare for Cortez is a big piece of this equation. Maryellen or Ann pick Cortez up and drop him off. I know he is loved and taken care of there, and that is immensely important to me. He gets a tremendous amount of exercise, which benefits him and gives his mom a break! He looks forward to daycare so much that he will often pace by the door on Thursday mornings constantly looking out the window, waiting anxiously for his ride to pick him up. Once they come and get him, he makes a beeline for the car. He can't wait for the fun to begin. I am so grateful to Maryellen and Ann for all their love and care, and I know if Cortez could talk, he would tell you that Thursday is his favorite day of the week!"
